In 2013, high school buddies and Texas natives Travis Franks and Jody Alumbaugh opened the doors of WillowTree Custom Homes. We started with one goal in mind: building custom homes with integrity and honesty. Keeping this goal at the center of all we do, WillowTree has blossomed into the premier custom home builder in North Texas.

It all started when Jody, a licensed structural engineer, and Travis, a residential construction veteran, recognized the market needed a new generation of builders. We saw the need for a builder that could pull today’s technology into the construction process. Armed with an innovative approach centered on expert craftsmanship and modern technology, WillowTree brings unique luxury homes to life.

Today, WillowTree is affiliated with professional groups such as the Southlake Chamber of Commerce, Texas Association of Homebuilders and Greater Fort Worth Builders Association.

Did you know?

Our company name was inspired by a “secret code” Travis and Jody created back on a high school baseball trip. The founders would happily share the code’s meaning with you over a glass of wine or whiskey.

Our Custom Homes Are Literally “Dream Homes.”

Some builders claim they develop dream homes. Yet, not many actually have homes named “Dream Homes” by independent publications. WillowTree Custom Homes is proud to have one of our custom homes recognized as a Dream Home by Fort Worth Magazine. We’ve also been voted Southlake Style’s Reader’s Choice for home builders and been highlighted in publications like Society Life.
