Build on Your Land

Your Land. Your Home. Built Around Both.

A neighborhood lot. An estate homesite. Acreage in the Hill Country. Land your family has held for years.

If you already own the property, you have the starting point most custom homes are waiting for. WillowTree builds luxury custom homes on client-owned land across North Texas and the Texas Hill Country, beginning with the land itself and the home you imagine on it.

Start With the Property

The Land You Already Have

Every property has a story before the first line is drawn.

The way the ground falls. Where the mature trees stand. Which direction the morning light comes from and where the views open up. Neighborhood guidelines, setbacks, and utilities. The homes next door.

WillowTree starts by understanding the property, the home you envision, and what matters most to you. Then we design and build a home that belongs to that piece of land, rather than one that could sit anywhere.

Types Of Properties We’ve Built On

Established Neighborhood Lots

A lot in a neighborhood you already love, whether it is open ground or a property ready for something new. WillowTree understands the architectural and community requirements that come with building in an established neighborhood.

Estate Homesites in a Private Community

A homesite you have purchased in a gated or planned community. WillowTree builds in communities with architectural review and works within those standards from the first design conversation.

Acreage or Ranch Land

Land in the Hill Country or on the edges of North Texas where the home can settle into the landscape. Larger properties bring their own considerations, from access and utilities to how the home sits on the land.

Land Your Family Has Had For Years

Property that has been in the family for years and is finally ready for the home it was meant for. We take the history of the place as seriously as you do.
How It Starts

You Have the Land and an Idea. That’s Enough.

You don’t need plans, an architect, or every answer before you reach out.

1

A Conversation About the Property

Tell us where the land is, what you know about it, and the home you have in mind. We’ll listen, ask the questions experience has taught us to ask, and talk through what the next step could look like.

2

Walking the Land Together

There is no substitute for standing on the property. We look at how the ground moves, where the trees and views are, how the home might sit, and what the site and community will ask of the design.

3

Designing Centered On Your Vision

Already working with an architect or designer? WillowTree is comfortable collaborating with established design teams. Still looking for the right people? WillowTree has trusted relationships with experienced architects and designers who understand what a home on your land deserves.
From there, pre-construction brings the pieces together: architectural planning, engineering, design, site considerations, bidding, budgeting, and scheduling, so construction begins with clarity.

Experience Matters

Experience Makes the Unknown Feel a Little Less Unknown.

It’s a culture built around showing up, communicating clearly, taking responsibility, and caring about the details even when they’re the ones a homeowner may never see.

WillowTree has been building luxury custom homes in North Texas since 2013, with leadership experience spanning construction, engineering, residential land development, and high-end homebuilding.

Travis Franks’ background includes residential land development, while Jody Alumbaugh is a professional engineer whose career in construction and design began in 2002.

That experience reaches beyond the walls of a home. The more your builder understands the land around the build, the fewer unknowns you have to navigate alone.
